Maddi Jane Brown is a visual storyteller with a degree in Photography at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Ever since she was young she’s had a deep passion and love for photography. Maddi hopes to use that passion to share others’ stories with the world. She has a particular interest in human culture, music and the natural world and hopes to showcase and document those parts of life that most may not be privy to. Maddi has several years of experience as a photographer and has done work in many different settings such as event work, studio work and photojournalistic stories. She has served as president of the Syracuse chapter of the National Press Photographers Association, Photo Editor for 20 Watts Magazine, and worked on several other on-campus publications. Maddi is eager to adapt and learn in any environment and loves working outside of the box. She hopes that through her photography she can bring viewers closer to communities they may not otherwise interact with and open the door to new connections.
